Latest reports from England reveals that the club are ready to make his loan move permanent in the summer. Wolves paid a loan fee of 2.7 million for the player and it is understood that Benfica are holding out for a transfer fee of around £25 million which could rise to £30 million with bonuses.
The Telegraph claims that Wolves are in advanced negotiations with Benfica and the player has already agreed on personal terms with the club. If Wolves complete the transfer it would surpass the previous transfer record paid for a player.
Former Middlesbrough forward Adama Traore currently holds the record as the club paid £18 million to secure his services last summer. Although Traore is yet to light up the Premier League Jimenez has already proven his worth and can get better next season.
